With a focus on precision and fluidity, Level-1 lays the groundwork for all subsequent levels, providing a solid foundation upon which to build mastery.
Level-2: Blades vs. Long Sword
In Level-2, practitioners advance to the next stage of their training, engaging in dynamic exchanges with a partner wielding a single long sword. Through the use of the two-person feeder-defender method, students refine their timing, distance management, and defensive instincts. The primary objective at this stage is to train the eyes to discern and respond to contact, honing the practitioner’s ability to effectively counter the attacks of a longer-reaching opponent.
Level-3: Blades vs. Long Spear
Level-3 challenges practitioners to confront the formidable challenge of engaging with a partner wielding a 2.4-meter long spear. Here, students learn to apply tactical strategies to overcome the significant reach advantage of their opponent. Through disciplined practice and strategic maneuvering, practitioners develop the skills necessary to close the distance, exploit openings, and neutralize the threat posed by the long spear.
Level-4: Double Blades vs. Two Short Swords
At Level-4, practitioners face the ultimate test of their proficiency in the Baht Chaum Dou system as they engage in simultaneous combat against a two-bladed attacker. This advanced level demands exceptional bi-directional timing, blade stickiness, and expanded vision to effectively mirror and counter the onslaught of dual threats. Through intense training and focused discipline, students learn to execute simultaneous blade checking and chopping, mastering the art of defending against multiple adversaries with skill and precision.
Level-5: The Master Teacher
In the pinnacle of their training journey, practitioners ascend to Level-5, assuming the role of the Master Teacher. Here, the focus shifts from personal skill development to the transmission of knowledge and expertise to the next generation of students. Master Teachers guide their disciples through the protocols for skill improvement established in Levels 1-4, offering insightful instruction, constructive feedback, and rigorous testing at each stage of advancement. Frequently Asked Questions
What Are The "Wing Chun Swords/Blades"
The Wing Chun Swords are two short single-edged blades (sharp at the top, dull in the middle, and blunt at the bottom), often found with some type of “D-guard” (hand protection around the handle). The swords themselves are simply known as “butterfly swords”, as they are not specific to Wing Chun. Choy Li Fut, Hung Gar, Lau Gar and White Crane (among numerous others) all have lineages that employ this weapon. Wing Chun is simply one of the many that developed a system for learning the blades.
They come in many different sizes, traditionally found in the length of the pracitioner’s forarm, as old Chinese law stated commoners could only have blades that length (although they would add up to a few extra inches if they could get away with it).
What Is Unique About Your System?
We teach the Wing Chun Swords as how IP Man taught it to Wong Chun Leung, who is one of the only people to get more then just the form out of IP Man. The sysem involved a full training program from the ground up, starting with the form, to how to fight agaisnt swords and spears, and finally how to battle agaisnt others with the butterfly blades.
We have refined the system over the years to be as teachable as possible, but know that the core is the same. We are one of the only groups teaching the full system. Most simply have a form and try to discover the martial art by reverse engineering it.
What Is Your Refund Policy?
We believe you will love the Wing Chun System so much that we back it with a 7 day 100% money back gurantee. If you start it and don’t like it, we will refund you the cost of the course.
